The Yoganescence practice offers a mindful approach to becoming one’s true self through yoga. Teaching Hatha Yoga with an influence of Ashtanga, your instructor will guide you through the motions to establish peace and harmony both physically, mentally and emotionally – within oneself and the universe.
Adult classes
While group sessions focus on refining your practice, private classes allow your coach to create a flow of poses and use yoga techniques specific to your needs and aspirations as a student. For adults, the Yoganescence practice aims to assist in the development of your current mindset while also allowing space to try new approaches to yoga; whether it be pranayama, meditation, more advanced poses or an entirely new flow. Through these various techniques, you will strengthen your connection to yourself and the universe, feeling the union of your body, mind and soul.
Children and Tweens classes
Yoganescence offers classes for Kids aged 7-10 years old and Tweens aged 11-14 years old. The classes are dynamic and fun and include breathing exercices, various poses and flows. Each class is centred around a mindfulness theme that changes every week, and finishing with relaxation and initiation to meditation.
My passion for different cultures, ethnicities, and human connections has led me to live in many countries in Asia for most of my life, including 10 years in Singapore.
Yoganescence is the natural extension of my own personal journey toward self-discovery. I started practicing in 2007 when I was pregnant, first as a gentle form of exercise, then as a means of relaxation and calm amidst raising a family and working in the fast-paced fashion industry.
As I developed my yoga practice, I quickly learned that through connecting more deeply with my body, it was becoming easier to connect with my mind and emotions. This growing awareness enabled me to nurture my own personal energy, learning how it impacts my body and mind. With this self-knowledge came more empathy, less judgement and a deeper compassion for others.
It has been through the study of Yoga that I have found a new path of self-distinction; one that has enabled me to be at peace within myself and more present with my family. When facing uncertainty, I feel calm, ready to embrace new experiences and challenges.
Growing up in the French southern countryside, I am invigorated by the connection with Nature and love practicing outdoors. Mother of two boys, I love introducing yoga to children and watch them grow on their own journey.
Through my practices, I have discovered the benefits of alignment, both physical and mental, and I have experienced first hand the healing powers of yoga. With this in mind, I am expanding my knowledge to assist my students in managing their wellness through various targeted yoga practices.
This form of self-discovery, inspired by the truly beautiful people I have met throughout every stage of my practice makes me feel compelled to share and teach others, as my own instructors did for me. Their knowledge and guidance on my path were invaluable, and my greatest joy comes from helping others on their own process of becoming.
With love,
Elodie
